The 1800 engine has had hundreds spent on it by the car's previous owner and has covered only low mileage since it's rebuild. It runs like a swiss watch. The gearbox was fully stripped down and the layshaft gears replaced at the same time as the engine rebuild. The work, for which i have the receipts, was carried out by a well known classic car restorer.
The SU carbs will be sold along with the engine.
This would make a good package for someone looking for a decent standard engine who wants something reliable that they can drop straight into their car and know will give years of good service. The engine and gearbox are currently still sitting in my 1979 MGB in South East Essex so can be seen and heard running before purchase if required.
