I am seeking a front control arm for my 2010 Ford Mondeo MK4, and Autodoc presents multiple alternatives, including Ridex. The part numbers appear to correspond, yet I am uncertain about the dependability of the less expensive aftermarket alternatives. Has anyone installed Ridex suspension components and is willing to share their experience?

I utilise Delphi components for my 2002 Mondeo and 2014 Fiesta without encountering any issues, and I have not experimented with other less expensive brands since they often necessitate repurchasing.

I utilised Delphi on my previous ST24 and Febi Bilstein on my former MK4.5 TXS. There were no problems with either, but I disposed of the vehicles shortly after installation in both instances. In my observation, less expensive brands often have a short lifespan, particularly on my friends' vehicles, occasionally lasting merely a year! I recommend Meyle HD arms, as they are manufactured to specifications superior to original equipment. (This is the compensation I will receive for my existing vehicle once they manufacture them for it...my car consumes foliage.)

I have utilised Lemforder for lower arms, and they appeared to be quite effective and durable. Febi bilstein was previously regarded as reputable. I concur with Mondy Zetecs' adage, "buy cheap, buy twice" - I previously experienced this with the notorious Mondeo MK3 rear engine mount/roll restrictor, which occasionally lasted a mere six months; despite its ease of replacement, I repeatedly opted for inexpensive alternatives until I ultimately decided to purchase a genuine Ford component.

Autodoc often appears excessively favourable in my opinion; I utilised it once for a non-essential item, but the delivery was protracted. No alternative encounters with them, however. The website is effective for matching part numbers.

I still possess one of those MK3 roll restrictors that deteriorated while in transit to us.

I contemplated acquiring some PU to fabricate my own, but upon extracting the rubber from an authentic one, I observed that even devoid of the rubber, it nearly matched the weight of the inexpensive one we purchased that retained the rubber, leading to my distrust.

I will soon be substituting both of mine and will utilise these.

I concur with Petesford concerning Autodoc. I believe I made a purchase from them previously, and I would refrain from doing so again. The website address suggests that the company is based in the UK, yet it appears to source components from mainland Europe and does not exhibit promptness in delivery.
I have received components delivered more swiftly from the United States for my Firebird, a vehicle model that has not been manufactured for 24 years.
