Fits the Kia e-Niro with a V2L adapter

I was wondering if anyone here has purchased and utilised a V2L (vehicle to load) adapter with their e-Niro.
You can get them on Amazon for about £40 or less now, but they were formerly ridiculously expensive.
The government has been warning us about more frequent power cuts, so I'm considering getting one for use on picnics and other outdoor events (kettle, toastie maker, etc.) as well as as a backup.
On the other hand, I have my doubts about its ability to function properly in the vehicle.
Assuming it was a positive experience, I would love to hear about the owners' stories and see links to the products they purchased.

V2L is not compatible with the eNiro.
Otherwise, you would have squandered forty pounds, so I'm glad you enquired.
Original e-Niro (Legacy Platform): Constructed on a platform without the electronic control units and bidirectional inverters needed to produce AC power from the high-voltage charging port.

I had the same thought until I watched a YouTube video by Jonathan Porterfield three months ago, in which he successfully used one on his e-Niro. However, £800 was the price tag!
I wasn't sure if the £40 one from Amazon didn't work because of some special quality or if this pricey one had some special feature.

Hello, you should know that the adapter he was using causes the electric vehicle to believe it is going to get a direct current (DC) charge. Which means the adapter is drawing DC power straight from the battery. Alternating current (AC) is typically used by V2L via the inverter.
I hope that was clear.

A V2L adapter will not be compatible with the e-niro. But the Niro EV does.

While watching the video, you will notice that the mentioned device contains certain electronics that fool the system into believing it is receiving a charge. Jonathan Porterfield shows it in action on his e-Niro, even though it was originally made for Teslas. Would the OP be so kind as to elaborate on the £40 Amazon version? Does it say it's for the e-Niro on the packaging?

It would appear that the adapter is very different from the £40 ones sold on Amazon (which do not work).

electronic control units and bidirectional inverters?
That £800 could be the missing piece to make it all come together.
If I were in your shoes, I'd quit. If you tinker with the electronics, you could ruin everything.
