For the past eleven years, we've driven our 230 SL350 without TPMS on the wheels. The previous owner apparently removed them, so we forgot to install them when we changed the tires. However, now we always get a TPMS warning light on the dashboard. Yesterday, though, I received the standard TPMS warning in addition to yet another gauge on the dashboard that showed tyre pressures! Without sensors, how is the vehicle supposed to detect pressures? Have you any suggestions?

Holy cow, I am clueless......

I know it's a long shot, but I'm parked or travelling next to a car that does have them.

Then this makes the most sense as an explanation.
