My 2014 BMW F31 has a panoramic sunroof.
I have replaced the motor and fuses for the sunroof as instructed, but it is still not functioning properly and is giving me a short circuit code for the ground and hall sensors.

It would be greatly appreciated if someone knew about it.
This has been an issue for me for the past two years.

Can anyone tell me what these codes are?

You should probably elaborate on your problem a little.

You complained that it was malfunctioning. Can you tell me what it's doing right and wrong?
Have you tried a different, known-good motor to swap out the broken one?
Are you sure the motor's connections and wires are secure with the roof control module?
Has re-initialization been attempted?
Have you considered erasing the codes?

Okay, I swapped out the motors for a functional unit; I appreciate you getting back to me.
Like, it opens halfway and the roof curtain doesn't move at all; I've tried re-initializing it a bunch of times, but it still doesn't work; the wires appear to be fine, but I can check them again; after all, there are really thin wires involved.

The codes still persist despite my best efforts (which number in the hundreds).

Do you see any additional dashboard warning lights or error codes? If the wires were to break, it would most likely show a short to B+ or an open circuit rather than a short to ground.

The control module seems like it could be malfunctioning right now. Your Hall sensor codes seem to be for the glass motor as well as the trim motor.

One possible solution would be to reset the codes and then disconnect the sunroof motors from the control module. Do the current codes for shorted to ground go away and never come back, or will new codes appear?

Yes, I have also tried that. Are you referring to the control unit on the front passenger side, under the dashboard? I can't remember its name, but it might be FHD or FSD. The strange thing is that everything is fine; even in Idriv, there is no problem. However, when you diagnose, it shows up on the diagnostic screen.

Included in the roof lining is the roof function center module, which also houses the roof switch and the map lights.

Everything is going according to plan, so there shouldn't be any issues.
